Really well engineered and constructed. Should last 15 years with minimal maintenance. Arrived intact and delivery guys placed the hugebox directly on my porch where I wanted. Only had a couple of days so far where I needed to use it. But it works really well in this dry climate(Denver) and it is a lot quieter and more effective than the unit it replaces. Have only had to use the low setting so far. Also, had to build aplatform because the throat (the part that extends into the house) was a few inches lower than the old swamp cooler. You will need to askthe manufacturer to provide dimensions if you plan to place it at ground level. This thing is large and heavy. It took two big guys to get it offthe truck and up my driveway. I struggled a bit fitting it into my front window and on to the 2 x 6's that formed my platform. But when fallapproaches, all I have to do is slide it out of the window and throw a tarp over it until next summer. I think it is a quality product.I bought BW3004 with 600 square ft capacity to cool my 300 sqt RV while we build and live Off Grid in the desert of New Mexico. Power consumption was a big factor. So I went with this 1/4 hp motor. Which should draw 200 watts to 300 Watts. I was dissapointed to measure 570 watts. The unit came slightly dented. It could have been packaged better considering how large it was. Tested one day for any problems. So far no problems at delivery. Will update as I go as to how well it performs when heat gets here in a month.Update: First day of use there is strong ecectrical smell from motor. Hope it will go after some use.Update:After only 2 months of use water pump went out in the middle of heat wave out west. Overnighted another brand water pump. Phoenix brand was weak and poorly made.Been using this new unit now for the last few months. Its build very well and runs very quiet. The shipping was good with no issues.Does a very good job on keeping my 2010 sq foot house cool. Temps here (Southwestern desert area) are now getting into the 100's and the unit is maintaining a 75 to 73 degree temp with no problems.Review update 6-8-2016: Well after just a few months of use the bearing on the blower shaft went bad. Also noticed a build up of rust forming on the shaft of the blower. Never had an issue with my last cooler (8 years old), so surprised that this bearing failed so quickly. Phoenix Manufacturing doesn't make the bearings so I can't fault them, but maybe they need to source out a better bearing supply. A replacement bearing is only $15 bucks but replacing it is a pain in the a... Did take this product down a star for the trouble.cant find partsThis unit arrived with a small dent in the top rear, but I knew it wouldn't affect it's performance...We are very happy with it so far...It really puts out the air and is quiet compared to others...Hope it lasts longer too!!! wE HAD TO REPLACE OUR CHAMPION COOLERS EVERY 3-5 years because they rust terriblyIt came with a broken part but called and they sent the new part! I live in a park model and it keeps it really nice and cool! So far so good?Cools the whole floor ( about 800 sq ft) great, too bad it is soooooooo loud.We got this to replace one we have had for over 20 years and was no longer performing well. It came quickly to our rural area and works magnificently! It is quiet and efficient and we are extremely happy with our purchase.
